Fireworks, 3 July 2009, at the swing bridge along Highway 50 in Surf City, North Carolina, one of the few remaining swing bridges in the state. Discussions are underway proposing replacement of the swing bridge with a concrete high rise as boat taffic along the intercoastal waterway and development in the area continue to increase.
